We are seeking a Quality Manager is responsible for executing the Rocky Mountain Rail Quality Assurance plan within the shops. Comprehends and implements programs and processes to ensure that work is being completed per customer expectations. Ensures compliance with customer specifications, Federal regulations as well as AAR MSRPs.

Primary Job Functions
 
  • Manages and executes The Quality Program for the assigned location to ensure delivery of a quality product to RMRR customers.
  • Plan and assign duties to QA Team Members to verify a quality product is delivered to the customer on a consistent, repeatable basis.
  • Responsible for executing facility-level Quality Programs and customer specification training for new and existing Team Members
  • Quality decisions are guided by adherence to the Quality Program and customer specification

Knowledge and Skills Required
 
  • Must possess a High School Diploma/GED, advanced education beyond High School preferred or have the ability to successfully complete an on-site basic skills assessment.
  • Extensive knowledge of railcars and tank car anatomy; 8 to 10 years of railcar repair experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of AAR/FRA/ ARS & Car Owner railcar maintenance standards preferred. Proficient within 1 year of employment
  • AAR M-1003 Basic Auditor, Advanced Auditor preferred ISO-9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, or equivalent audit certificate (may be obtained within the first 6 months of employment).

  • Perform railcar repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR rules
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner so as to comply with Rocky Mountain Rail, OSHA and environmental rules and regulations
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Possess a thorough understanding of railcar and tank car, components and/or shop work order
  • Assist in disassembly of damaged railcars and tank cars

We are seeking a operations/ maintenance worker to help maintain operations as well as additional responsibilities as needed. The rate of pay for this role will be $24.50-$25.50.

Primary Job Functions

Knowledge and Skills Required
 
  • Must possess a High School Diploma/GED; or have the ability to successfully complete an on-site basic skills assessment.
  • Must possess job-related knowledge; for example, ability to follow work instructions on a document, ability to read a ruler and tape measure, ability to use hand tools.
  • Must be dependable and maintain good attendance; must have reliable transportation; must be able to work scheduled work shifts including overtime.
  • Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, position-specific examinations, background screening, and education verifications.
Environmental and Working Conditions
 
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort involved. Lifts and carries necessary equipment to car to perform operation. Climbs, walks, and balances on top of car while working.
  • May work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 10 ft. off the ground with proper PPE and fall protection.
  • Possibility of exposure to x-ray radiation hazards.
  • Must follow prescribed safety rules to avoid possible injury.
